Along with Robbie’s blog today, I would like to comment on another principal in the market today, which is to “sell short and then buy short.” Two years ago my wife and I finally made the plunge into Hilton Head real estate after many years of being just lookers. After extensive remodeling we put our 3 bedroom villa on the market for less than our actual costs invested. Within 6 weeks we had an offer and were able to facilitate a quick sale in order to purchase a more expensive 3 bedroom with more amenities.
